FAQ#002: What are the courses offered at NID?

NID: National Institute of Design is the pioneer Design education center of our country with more than 50 years of existence in the market. NID offers 4 years B. Des. at Ahmedabad and 4 years GDPD at NID Kurukshetra & NID Vijaywada,
NID offers 2.5 years M. Des. at ahmedabad, bangalore & Gandhinagar centers.
NID offers Industrial Design, Communcation Dsign & Textle & Apparel Design specialisations.

INFO #002: 

NID 2018 FORMS are available online at its official website www.nid.edu. The last date of application is  October 31st, 2017. 

NID 2018 Entrance Examination : January 7th 2018 (SUNDAY)

Lucknow will be one of the centers.

Tip of the Day #002 To Prepare for NIFT/ NID & (U)CEED: 

For General Aptitude Test: You may start with the first Quatitative topic i. e. Number system.
The Reasoning topic for the day is Number Series.
For General English: Let us start with vocabulary building, Pick letters A & B and learn the synonyms & antonyms of  major words.

For Creative Ability Test: Continue with object drawing and now also draw the objects previously practiced in One Point Perspective.

As promised let us embark on our journey to MISSION NIFT/ NID/ (U)CEED 2018..

FAQ#001: What are the courses offered at CEED ?

CEED : the Common Entrance Exam for Design is a  qualifying examination for the admissions to M. Des. & Ph. D. courses at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Hyderabad & IISc. Bangalore. Please be informed it is a qualifying examination and the score of the same is valid for on year but the applicants may have to appear for the colleges' individual screening processes.

INFO #001: 

CEED 2018 FORMS are going to be available online at its official website from October 9th 2017 to November 10th, 2017. 

CEED 2018 Entrance Examination : January 20th 2018 (SATURDAY)

Lucknow will be one of the centers.

Tip of the Day #001 To Prepare for NIFT/ NID & CEED: 

For General Aptitude Test: Start with improving upon your Quantitative skills, English language & comprehension skills, Analytical & Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation and your General Awareness.

For Creative Ability Test: Start with doing lot of Object Drawing consistently: For today sketch the listed objects observing them live or from image: Sharpner, Compass, Fountain pen, Mechanical Pencil, Staplr & Punching machine.
Sketch each n at least 3 different views.

To  All the NIFT 2013 Technology and Management aspirants: Word of caution! Please do not misread the change in entrance pattern. What was earlier two sittings in the name of General Ability Test (GAT) and Managerial Ability Test (MAT) of two hours each has now been simply clubbed and rechristened as GAT only for 3 hrs duration in the single sitting...it still includes all the sections previously asked viz. case study, DI, logical reasoning, Industry awareness and business domain et al...besides the other GAT segments...so aspirants Do Not loose focus on these segments under the impression that they have been removed..carry on...practice time bound as I have always insisted...ALL THE BEST!!!

Reasoning Puzzle for NIFT aspirants By Sandeep Sir

Solve the puzzle to test your preparation
1) Six Designers A,B,C,D,E, and F are sitting around a circular table facing towards centre. They have passed out from different instiute viz. NIFT, NID, PEARL, FDDI, JD & SOFT not necessarily in the same order. Each of them is owning a different Brand Lable as following Aksh, Gahan, Tatva, Navya, Tisya, & Karma
a) C has not passed out from Pearl while F is from NIFT
b) The person who passed out from NIFT, Pearl &  SOFT are owning neither Aksh nor Gahan
c)The one who passed out  from  JD is on immediate right of the person owning Aksh  but on the immediate left of the person who is from Pearl.
d) The only person who is sitting between E and F is from NID. The person who is on the left side of the person who owns Aksh is not from JD
e) The person owning Tatva and Tisya have passed out from Neither Nift nor Pearl
f) A is not owningAksh and is not on the immediate left of the person who has passed out from FDDI
g) D is pass out from FDDI and he is owning Tatva. He is facing the person who is from NID
h) The one who is a pass out from NIFT is sitting opposite to the person who owns Karma while the person who owns Tatva is on the left of the person who is from SOFT
